This entry definitely will raise some eyebrows and I understand. It’s kind of a trend to remaster already good games just to make new players buy them, I guess. The original doesn’t really look bad and gameplay-wise, it’s perfectly playable. That’s because it introduced poor performance and some bugs. While Re-Reckoning isn’t nearly as bad as some of the other entries on this list, it’s still a bad remaster. The original Kingdoms of Amalur was a decent fantasy RPG which was flawed, in some ways but it made for an interesting experience. The original was more than playable, and this remaster’s performance was very lackluster. Assassin’s Creed III: RemasteredĪssassin’s Creed III: Remastered was another instance of taking an already great-looking and performing game, slightly improving the actual qualities of textures and shadows, and changing the color palette into one that looks artificial and ugly. From how the environment reacted to explosions and gunfire, to the clean and crisp texture detailing on the weapons, the game looked great.
